The Light/White Light

I was taken to special entities who looked like the usual grays, but they had lots of wrinkles on their faces. They called themselves the Counsel, and said they were part of a group called "soul recyclers" helping souls to re-incarnate. -- NDERF.ORG, NDE of Ruth
I thought of the light more as a collective soul. -- NDERF.org, NDE of Ryan G
It was a collection of all energy from which I was currently separated. The "spirits" with me were also part of the light, but they were just there to greet me and they were going back to the collective light. -- NDERF.org, NDE of Sylvia W
All the knowledge of the universe was inside my being. I no longer felt as a separate individual. I felt as if I was part of a collective consciousness. I sense billions and billons of beings and we were all One. The feeling of oneness on the other side is amazing! -- NDERF.org, NDE of Chantal L
I was ready to start to merge with the love and light, but not fully and seemed to for a while (though time does not exists as we experience it there) the feeling of oneness and love and bliss and knowing is profound. I knew if I merged totally "I" would disappear would become one will it and all... Was going to merge with the light/love, seemed to be mostly about to, knew when I did I would cease to exists as "I" and become one and part of all, ego would be gone totally. -- Justin U
What I remembered was that I had completely merged again with God. It was a void, darkness, but unconditional love. I was no longer a separate being. I was where I belonged, where I came from. It was perfect. When it was time to return I had to again differentiate from God and become a separate soul again. Yet I was still a part of God. Then I was back on Earth in this physical body. -- Gwen J
And at that point in time, I was absorbed into the light. I became the light. I wasn't greater than the light. I wasn't less than the light. -- Andrew P
I am often asked what I will do when I take my final breath. This is a critically important question that too few people ask themselves these days. My answer is this: 'I will demand to experience my higher self, my spiritual essence!' I am not content to simply 'go to the light'. I am not content to accept past acquaintances and comfortable surroundings as my new reality. In fact, I am not content to settle for any form-based reality as my spiritual home. I absolutely know there is so much more available beyond the realms of form. There exist dimensions of magnificent living light simply waiting for us; all we need do is awaken and accept their reality. Two powerful truths are apparent. First, all form is but a reflection of pure spirit. Second, we are not helpless victims of an external force that dictates or directs our reality and our lives; we are bestowed with the power of free will and the ability to take spiritual action. Why would you settle for a pale reflection of reality when the pure realms of spirit are always present? -- William Buhlman, out of body traveler and researcher
Oh, we're running toward the light now. Oh-h-h! [breathless] I can see . . . the Elder is changing to a white light being and . . . the grey is changing into a light blue one [blows out air] as we're running closer to the light. Oh, I'm starting to change into a golden-colored light! Oh, this is beautiful! Oh-h-h. [long sigh, exhales, sighs again] Oh, this is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Oh, there is such love. [Betty is in pure unadulterated ecstasy.] Oh, there is such peace. [long sigh] I'm just engulfed in light and blending into that light. Oh! [. . .] It is just fantastically beautiful. It's just so much love, so much peace and so wonderful. It's so wonderful. Oh, it's just wonderful. Oh. It is. It is. It is. [. . .] Oh, this is everything, everything, everything. -- Betty Andreasson Luca from Raymond Fowler's book, The Watchers II
I think the beginning is when I died. It's a battle with swords. I think a sword goes right through me, in my abdomen. I hear this ('Go to the LIGHT')-I'm out of my body--I don't know if somebody communicates this to me or what, but I'm going to the LIGHT, a tunnel of LIGHT, very fast. This LIGHT goes to this implant station that's just huge. Reminds me of a small planet or moon. It's just really huge. At the end of the tunnel of LIGHT in this room with glowing WHITE LIGHT, there's a body in the middle of the room. The LIGHT just pushes me into the body.......Don't go to the LIGHT. I was right about that. That makes sense--the Serpent Staff group. The New Age LIGHT. It's part of the trap. -- Truman Cash, abductee, The Eye of Ra
The phrase "Go to the LIGHT. " It's an implant station. I see a big round sphere, like a space station maybe. -- Truman Cash, abductee,The Eye of Ra
... kind of like gravitational lensing where if your soul is light instead of kind of shooting off after you die, off the planet, off to somewhere else in the universe. What's occurring is there's an artificial structure that is lensing or curving your light back down to Earth again.....there's actually a fracturing that occurs to force this light, this soul to kind of come back down to the planet again for a second, third, infinite amount of times, but ultimately that's powering something else...
There's a much larger game that's being played here and Earth is just one tiny part of it and we are not the center of the universe. We're just one tiny aspect on a very large board that seems to go back and be funneling into a system of fight, if you will, on the cosmic scale of the fight between Good and Evil and our pocket of the universe is one that appears to be controlled by the negative side, its Authority. It has its system that exerts power and control over this specific pocket in a way that keeps people entrapped here enslaved here and so these ideas that you may have read about in the past of Prison Planet seem to fit is that it fits .. Souls become entrapped here and then they are harvested here again and again like bees for honey and until the individual figures out how to escape the system.
Another YouTube video which I'm going to discuss is the most significant remote viewing Target and it's going to talk a little bit about this because it's very, very important. And it has to do with not going into the light when you die... -- Brett Stuart, remote viewer
You can't be killed no matter what. However, you can be caught. Isbes are attracted to beautiful things. They're attracted to aesthetic things. So after you die, you see the light. That's part of Technology. That's been put out to attract the Isbes like moths are attracted to a light. Isbes go towards the light and then they get caught up and it's like a fly trap. The more you struggle against it, the more you get caught up in it. And you can't get out and once you're in it, you get zapped with a electric type of thing, like high voltage that's way higher than lightning. The voltage is in like billions of volts. It's really, really, really high. It can't kill you, but it can rattle you. And what happens is you lose your memory of who you are ....
And if you have a near-death experience, that's fascinating because the same type of thing happens, but almost inevitably you're confronted by someone who says that your situation has been discussed by the Council of Elders who thought very carefully and they think it would be better for you to go back because you have a few other small things you need to work out in your life. And then you think about it: 'oh. my gosh. He's very kind. counsel of Elders.. I think I have a few more things... yes,' there must be a few more things.' And then they go in the recycling back into the body and the near-death experience is over..."
We call them the death traps. They're like fly traps that electrocute people, put in new memories and cycle them back. There may be eight billion people on the planet maybe. -- Courtney Brown, remote viewer
It is they [Grey aliens] who await in the light when a human being dies. The human being is then recycled into another body and the process begins all over again... Hence the Light and Tunnel at death Trap. Scanning someone they wish to recycle as they near death, the aliens discover who the person was close to has died. They project the person(s) image in the white light tunnel and the image waves you in deeper. If you CHOOSE to follow you can be trapped and sent to another incarnation of their choice... these entities view Earth as a big farm. -- Val Valerian, Matrix II: The Abduction and Manipulation of Humans Using Advanced Technology
This shows the Empire does have an understanding of the spirit, but it attempts to short this out. The Light and Tunnel trap is a relatively new device, but one that will fail and they now know this. ‘Go into the Light’ say those who have had near death experiences. They are the salespersons chosen to advertise this alien venture. NEVER enter that light. Go up, left, back, right or anywhere but there. The mass media exposure of the Light and Tunnel trap (seen in the film ‘Ghost’, where the hero willingly enters the glittering trap) is to try to get people to buy the destination. -- Val Valerian, Matrix V - Quest of the Spirit, The Ultimate Frontier
Art Bell: "I recall you saying one thing to me, John, that has haunted me for years and haunts me today. We have had a number of guests on this radio program about life after death. Inevitably in every warm and fuzzy life after death story, people rush toward the warm, inviting Light: down the tunnel into the Light. And once you said to me, John: 'Don't go toward the light. It's a trick. Go toward the Darkness.' "
John Lear: "Now remember I qualified that by saying that's what Whitley Strieber told. "
Art Bell: "Well, it still bugs me because what if I had to make that choice."
John: "Well, right now I'm going toward the Darkness."
Later in the program...
Art: "John, why the dark light?
John: "Because, according to Whitley, if you go to the bright light, you have made a conscious choice of which direction to go and, supposedly, according to him, at that point if you go to the white light, the Greys or whoever's in charge of this thing can decide what to do with you. Now they can either send you back into another body or they can put you into the black box... whereas if you go to the dark, you go right back into a terrestrial body and you continue on with whatever body you got into." -- John Lear, UFO & Aliens researcher, 1-15-98 Art Bell interview
It seems like there's some kind of form that seems to be mostly light... Now I'm seeing something different. Seems almost like a... leathery, almost amphibian-type skin... The caring is really evident in the eyes. The face I saw is gone... I feel like they're... it's like light, some kind of light that's making me calm. It's calming. It seems to be emanating from whoever's around me... I just get feelings of love... it seems like they only want me to remember them as light. -- abductee, Sherry, from Dr. Edith Fiore's book, Encounters
What The Domain learned from the experience of this officer is that the "Old Empire" has been using Earth as a "prison planet" for a very long time -- exactly how long is unknown -- perhaps millions of years. So, when the body of the IS-BE dies they depart from the body. They are detected by the "force screen", they are captured and "ordered" by hypnotic command to "return to the light". The idea of "heaven" and the "afterlife" are part of the hypnotic suggestion -- a part of the treachery that makes the whole mechanism work. After the IS-BE has been shocked and hypnotized to erase the memory of the life just lived, the IS-BE is immediately "commanded", hypnotically, to "report" back to Earth, as though they were on a secret mission, to inhabit a new body. Each IS-BE is told that they have a special purpose for being on Earth. But, of course there is no purpose for being in a prison -- at least not for the prisoner. -- Alien Interview, Lawrence Spencer
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. -- 2 Corinthians 11:14, The Bible, New International Version
After the natural structure of the immortal beings had completely developed out of the infinite, a likeness then emanated from Pistis (Faith); it is called Sophia (Wisdom). It exercised volition and became a product resembling the primeval light. And immediately her will manifested itself as a likeness of heaven, having an unimaginable magnitude; it was between the immortal beings and those things that came into being after them, like . . . : she (Sophia) functioned as a veil dividing mankind from the things above. Now the eternal realm (aeon) of truth has no shadow outside it, for the limitless light is everywhere within it. But its exterior is shadow, which has been called by the name darkness" -- On The Origin of the World, The Nag Hammadi Library
She [Sophia] had been deluded through the god-like Self-willed [Demiurge], and had not been deluded through anything else, save through a light-power, because of its resemblance to the Light in which she had had faith. -- Pistis Sophia, Gnostic Text
Yaldabaoth [Demiurge] said to the authorities [archons] with him, Come, let us create a human being after the image of god and with a likeness to ourselves, so that this human image may give us light. -- The Secret Book of John, Nag Hammadi Texts
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day. -- The Bible, Genesis 1
Be not fond of the dull smoke-colored light from hell... Remember the clear light, the pure clear white light from which everything in the universe comes, to which everything in the universe returns; the original nature of your own mind. The natural state of the universe unmanifest. Let go into the clear light, trust it, merge with it. It is your own true nature, it is home. -- Tibetan Book of the Dead, an instruction manual on how to navigate planes of the afterlife.
It is the single (nature of) mind which encompasses all of Samsara and Nirvana, Even though its inherent nature has existed from the very beginning, you have not recognized it.. Therefore, your active dharmas and your inactive ones both should be abandoned... Now when you are introduced to (to your own intrinsic awareness) the method for entering it involves three considerations: Thoughts in the past are clear and empty and leave non traces behind. Thoughts in the future are fresh and unconditioned by anything. And in the present moment, when (your mind) remains in its own condition without constructing anything, awareness at that moment is quite ordinary. And when you look into yourself in this way nakedly (without any discursive thoughts), since there is only this pure observing, there will be found a lucid clarity without anyone being there who is the observer; only a naked awareness is present... it is certain that the nature of the mind is empty and without any foundation whatsoever. Your own mind is like the empty sky...and is like the sun rising in a cloudless illuminated sky... this self-originated primordial awareness has not been created by anything -- amazing!...even though it exists within yourself (and nowhere else), yet you seek for it elsewhere -- amazing!... ... in this state which is without meditation and without any distraction, it is the luminous clarity of the Essence itself... This intrinsic awareness is free of the eight extremes, such as externalism and nihilism, and the rest. Thus we speak of the Middle Way where one does not fall into any of the extremes, and we speak of the intrinsic awareness as uninterrupted mindful presence... this self-liberation through seeing with naked awareness is of such great profundity. And, this being so, you should become intimately acquainted with self-awareness. -- Padmasambhava, Self-Liberation through Seeing with Naked Awareness
"That alien, his Matrix, he was like the spider that has to lure a fly into his web... Do you think it's possible that each of the near death experiences we've heard about are the result of an alien inhabitation?" -- Coda episode, Star Trek Voyager
In sum, the adjective evokes both the ideas of the whiteness proper to objects of the afterlife and mourning clothes, and of the shining which, in the midst of the darkness supposed to permeate the afterlife, must make it appear as kind of beacon, or a genuinely deceptive signpost of life (or false life) that attracts the souls of non-initiates to the light and, ultimately, to the fountain of Lethe and forgetfulness of all they have learned" -- Religions in the Graeco-Roman World: Instructions For the Netherworld, The Orphic Gold Tablets by Alberto Bernabe and Ana Isabel Jiminez San Cristobal
"All the fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me no closer to answer the question, 'What are light quanta?' Of course today every rascal thinks he knows the answer, but he is deluding himself.... For the rest of my life I will reflect on what light is." -- Albert Einstein
Black is the true face of Light, only we do not see this. -- Nikola Tesla

The Divine Light in actuality is definitely seen by people who have a genuine desire for God–realisation. Those above a spiritual level of 50% ( samashti) or 60% (vyashti) are actually able to see Divine Light either due to immense merits or very little ego. As they are above the 50% (samashti) or 60% (vyashti) spiritual level they don’t just see the Light but also finally reach the Divine Heavenly Light. A person at a lower spiritual level, such as 40%, may see a Divine Light when they die if they had an intense desire for spiritual growth towards God-realisation. In this case, while they may see the Light, they don’t actually reach the region of Heaven (Swarga)...
Those people without a genuine desire for God-realisation who see a light are in fact seeing the light generated by an illusion-creating subtle-sorcerer (mantrik). Subtle-sorcerers, due to their high spiritual strength, can create illusions of light as well as feelings of peace and happiness radiating from the light. These illusions are created by their spiritual powers and their black energy. They use this as a mechanism to lure subtle-bodies into the light and trap them into slavery. Earthbound ancestors are generally of a lower spiritual level and with a lot of attachments and unfulfilled desires. This means that they ordinarily cannot see a Divine Light when they die. By telling them to go into the light, what one is effectively doing is telling the departed ancestor to go towards the illusion creating subtle-sorcerer. -- Spiritual Sciences Research Foundation, Life after death: Going towards the light
[NOTE: According to these charts, only .0002 percent of humans would see the divine light at death. The rest are being lured to an illusory light from a subtle-sorceror and trapped into slavery.]
"The luminosity experienced in meditation is called the path luminosity, simile luminosity, or child luminosity. The true luminosity of our awakened nature is called the basic luminosity or mother luminosity; it dawns at the moment of death, and if it is recognized, the mother and child meet and become one in liberation. Luminosity is often translated as "clear light," which is a literal rendering of the Tibetan rather than the Sanskrit. Trungpa Rinpoche did not like that term, although he did sometimes use it in his talks, which form the basis of his books, because it is so well known. He felt it had become inextricably associated with such notions as the light at the end of the tunnel in near-death experiences, and that it gave too much of an impression of ordinary, visual light, whereas what is meant is an extremely subtle concept that he thought would be conveyed better by "luminosity." The two terms luminosity and clarity are frequently not distinguished and are translated by the same word in English, so that we find "clear light," "luminosity," or "clarity" for both. They are certainly very close, since clarity here is not just clear and transparent, but also bright and luminous: the illuminating potential of the mind. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead, we used only luminosity, but on looking at the text very carefully with this in mind, it is evident that it does distinguish between them, and so it now seems best to do so in the revised passages of translation that follow in part 2. Luminosity is the ever-present background of Liberation through Hearing, out of which the visions of the peaceful and wrathful deities appear. In fact, it is at the heart of the experience of bardo. As Trungpa Rinpoche said, it "comes up as subtle gaps of all kinds" in all six realms of existence. It seems frightening because it offers nothing to grasp at or hang on to; "clear light is the sense of desolation of complete open space." -- Francesca Fremantle, who helped translate The Tibetan Book of the Dead wrote a book called Luminous Emptiness: Understanding the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
O nobly-born (so-and-so), listen. Now thou art experiencing the Radiance of the Clear Light of Pure Reality. Recognize it. O nobly-born, thy present intellect, in real nature void, not formed into anything as regards characteristics or colour, naturally void, is the very Reality, the All-Good.
Thine own intellect, which is now voidness, yet not to be regarded as of the voidness of nothingness, but as being the intellect itself, unobstructed, shining, thrilling, and blissful, is the very consciousness, the All-good Buddha.
Thine own consciousness, not formed into anything, in reality void, and the intellect, shining and blissful, -- these two, -- are inseparable. The union of them is the Dharma-Kāya state of Perfect Enlightenment.
Thine own consciousness, shining, void, and inseparable from the Great Body of Radiance, hath no birth, nor death, and is the Immutable Light -- Buddha Amitābha. Knowing this is sufficient. Recognizing the voidness of thine own intellect to be Buddhahood, and looking upon it as being thine own consciousness, is to keep thyself in the [state of the] divine mind of the Buddha.
Repeat this distinctly and clearly three or [even] seven times. That will recall to the mind [of the dying one] the former [i.e. when living] setting-face-to-face by the guru. Secondly, it will cause the naked consciousness to be recognized as the Clear Light; and, thirdly, recognizing one's own self [thus], one becometh permanently united with the Dharma-Kāya and Liberation will be certain...
At the moment of death, the Ground Luminosity or Clear Light dawns in all its splendor. The Tibetan Book of the Dead says: "O son/daughter of an enlightened family ... your Rigpa is inseparable luminosity and emptiness and dwells as a great expanse of light; beyond birth or death, it is, in fact, the Buddha of Unchanging Light. -- Sogyal Rinpoche, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying
What emotions did you feel during the experience?... Immense Love ... I saw a beam of white. It came out of the sky and touched me on the shoulder... One responding to my unasked question who are you? "God of Abraham." -- NDERF.ORG, STE of Mary D
I was excited. "Who is that giant spirit? I felt as if my heart were racing although I was in my astral body. The angel smiled, then slowly answered my question. "It is going to be a strong, huge, high intensity spirit from the third level of existence, from the forces level. That spirit is going to bond Himself with all of humanity on the planet Earth. "It will create a huge new entity--one that will improve your lives tremendously and forever. This huge spirit is quite well known to humanity on Earth. Many people, unknowingly, already are craving to bond with Him. They consciously pray for His help, and love Him. In some part of their subconscious minds all people on Earth already know it. And whether they believe in any established religion or not, in times of great need most humans recognize His existence. They call him: God, Elohim, Yahave, Allah, the Heavenly Father, and many other names." -- NDERF.ORG, NDE of Israel
"When threatened, certain species shoot bright flashes of light to stun and confuse their enemies. There's a lot of animals that actually can release their luminescence that way. So you can have something like a shrimp that will spew luminescence out of its mouth like a fire-breathing dragon and temporarily blind its predator while it pulses away into the darkness."
"But mates aren't the only creatures light attracts. Many fish use light to lure food in, as does the most notorious bioluminescent creature of all. 'What is that?' 'It's so pretty'. Remember that ugly angler in Finding Nemo? 'Good feeling's gone.' (screeching) That lure is actually meant to attract another fish or another little shrimp that comes to gobble it up... (screaming)...and then finds itself engulfed in this living mousetrap of needle-sharp teeth."
"Land critters have evolved their own special ways of using light. Take the glowworm, for example. Like anglerfish of the deep, thousands of these fly larvae light up the roofs of these caves in New Zealand like the night sky to lure in a meal. The starry ceiling fools prey like flies and moths, which are attracted to the light. As they fly upwards, they get trapped by the glowworms' sticky, threadlike snares." -- Creatures of Light, NOVA documentary
"Ostracods and fireflies use bioluminescence to find potential mates and it can be an efficient means of getting a message across. But it's not foolproof. Those messages can be hacked. There's a love cheat in this situation. There's also a female of a particular species here that when she sees males of a different species fly past, answers with their particular call sign and that attracts them. And when they arrive, instead of mating with them, she has her own dastardly way with them. She mimics the flash patterns of other species. An unsuspecting male is lured in. Fireflies contain toxins thought to protect them against most predators, but this femme fatale is not put off and she eats him alive. In fact, it may be the toxins she's after. She can't produce such chemicals herself so she tricks and then devours males of different species to attain them. If she can't get males to come to her, she goes after them. And a good place to look for one is on a spider's web. A male firefly is ensnared. As the spider venom take effect, his flashing turns to a constant glow. The femme fatale is alerted by the dim glow and she flies straight onto the web to steal the spider's catch. As the spider struggles to keep its prey, she dazzles it with her lantern. Using her light, the firefly can clearly see the spider and avoid the web. The confused spider loses out.
Predation turns out to be one area where light-making life has been very creative."...
"The luminous larvae of click beetles wait in burrows. Insects are drawn to their death by the green glow like moths to a flame. And the beetle larvae gourds on the steady supply of unsuspecting victims. These predators work as individuals."
There is another insect that excels in deception, but it works alongside thousands of its own kind. From outside, this cave show no signs of the astonishing things that go on inside. The entrance is fringed with a curtain of silk woven by the larvae of a kind of gnat. They move back and forth along the rocks lowering sticky strings of saliva from the roof of the cave. As night falls, the walls and ceiling of this cavern become nature's very own planetarium. The trap is set. The cool, blue light produced in larva's tail is the lure. Other insects that hatch and emerge in the cave instinctively fly upwards to the sky, but this is not a starlit sky. It's a death trap."
-- David Attenborough's Light on Earth a.k.a. Life that Glows (2016)
"But, in order to see at all, there has to be some light. And the giant squid lives at depths of 1,000 metres. Although very little sunlight reaches the deeper parts of the ocean, there is another kind of light there. It's produced by the deep sea animals and is called bioluminescence. The light is produced by a chemical reaction in the same way as that in a glow stick does. When I shake and snap the stick, two chemicals called luciferin and luciferase react together to produce a bioluminescent glow. Like this. There. Some deep sea animals use their own luciferants to produce light, while in others it's produced by bacteria, living within special light organs."
"A flashing light can act as a lure, or confuse a predator. It's thought that about 90% of deep sea creatures produce bioluminescence. And they use it in a number of different ways. All these fish come from the deep sea, and they all produce light in one way or another. This is the football anglerfish. And it has a modified ray from its dorsal fin which has a lot of little tentacles on the top. And the tip of each tentacle produces a little green light.
So it looks as though there's a little shoal of small creatures, maybe shrimps, hovering above it in the blackness. And when some other shrimp thinks it might join some friends and come along that way, the angler fish simply tilts up, opens this immense jaw and has its breakfast. This, on the other hand, is a stoplight loose jaw. And it operates in a different way. It produces red light from two little organs at the front. Hardly any other species of fish in the sea can see red light. So it can hunt that way and find its prey. And when it does it opens this immense loose jaw and engulfs it. There you are. Back you go."
"But what about the giant squid? Could it also be producing bioluminescence? Some of its close relatives apparently can. This is the vampire squid. It has eight arms lined with tooth-like projections. And when threatened, it turns itself inside out, wrapping its body in a dark cloak. If that doesn't work, the squid has another trick. Small lights at the end of its arms flash like eyes to distract the predator. With so many creatures of the deep producing light, you might think that the giant squid would do so as well. But scientists studying their carcasses have not been able to find any evidence of light-producing bacteria or pigments in their bodies." -- Natural Curiosities, episode Life in the Dark (2013)
As part of what I call "Project Eureka", a friend and I have designed and constructed a science exhibit in which one views a region of space filled with light. It is a simple but startling demonstration that uses only a carefully fabricated box and a projector whose light shines directly into it. We have taken special care to ensure that light does not illuminate any interior objects or surfaces in the box. Within the box, there is only pure light and lots of it. The question is: What does one see? How does light look when left entirely to itself?
Approaching the exhibit, I turn on the projector, whose bulb and lenses can be seen through a Plexiglas panel. The projector sends a brilliant light through optical elements into the box beside it. Moving over to a view port, I look into the box and at the light within. What do I see? Absolute darkness! I see nothing but the blackness of empty space.
On the outside of the box is a handle connected to a wand that can move into and out of the box's interior. When I pull the handle, the wand flashes through the dark space before me, and I see it brilliantly lit on one side. The space clearly is not empty but filled with light. Without an object on which the light can fall, one sees only darkness. Light itself is always invisible. We see only things, only objects, not light." -- Arthur Zajonc, from Catching the Light
Thus I asked to meet God to decide with him what I could do to serve his cause and she told me that God was not someone we could meet, we wouldn’t bear the vision. But he is an energy that we can feel and see as a light of variable intensity depending of one’s heart’s purity. -- NDERF.org, NDE of Kolleen
JANEWAY: I was right. I heard Tuvok and Chakotay and the Doctor. You're an alien. You've created all these hallucinations, haven't you?
ALIEN: This is what my species does. At the moment just before death one of us comes down to help you understand what's happening, to make the crossing over an occasion of joy.
JANEWAY: And what is that? [points to a light.]
ALIEN: Our Matrix, where your consciousness will live. I was being truthful when I said it was a place of wonder. It can be whatever you want it to be.
JANEWAY: Then why didn't you tell me this from the beginning? Why pretend to be my father.
ALIEN: Usually people are comforted to see their loved ones. It makes the crossing over a much less fearful occasion. I've done this many times, but I've never encountered someone so resistant...
ALIEN: You're in a dangerous profession, Captain. You face death everyday. There'll be another time and I'll be waiting. Eventually you'll come into my Matrix and you will nourish me for a long, long, time.
JANEWAY: Go back to hell, coward.-- Coda, Star Trek Voyager
